On November 16, Greenville's first ever Shark Tank Competition will be held at the Phyllis Wheatley Community Center. This week, we will be introducing our three contestants to you.
Who are you and what is your business?
My name is Lillian Walker Small from Montgomery, LA. I'm a single
parent to two children Shelita (deceased) and Desmon. I’m a Christian,
a Sunday School Teacher for the disable and I sing in the church and
Community Choir. I’m a business owner and love helping people and
making life easier in today’s society.
Where do you see your business in 5 years?
I see my business exploding and creating many jobs throughout the
United States. I see my product on every grocery store shelf, product
being sold in restaurants. I see my business hitting millionaire
status in five (5) years.
What's the hardest part about running your own business?
The hardest part about running the business is getting finances to
make your dream and goals come true. You run out of money and every
penny of your saving because you try not to take out loans. Now your
credit is ruined and you are still running a house putting 100% of
your effort into the business; bill collectors calls, you can’t find a
job; but you are willing to commit to you business 100% and you do
If you could have one super power what would it be and why?
One super powder would be a Superwoman. This would allow me to do
more, be in more than one place at a time. I would get tired and it
would allow me to move forward with my product so they I can become
successful and help other people in America with jobs. This would
allow me to became rich and affluent; people will listen because of my
success and teach others how to duplicate my success.
How would you describe yourself in 6 words?
Christian, Mom, Blessed, favored, focused and determined.
